Good morning friends. There’s only so much that Satan is allowed to do before God says to him get your hands off of my child. We don’t fight with the same weapons. The fundamental nature of conflict is spiritual. So our weapon of choice should be prayer.
Some folks grow old gracefully while others become grouchy and cantankerous. It’s important to know which way we are growing because we’re all growing older. People don’t get irritable and short-tempered merely because they’re getting older. Like anything in life, there is usually a root to how someone acts and the choices that they make.
Aging doesn’t have to make us finicky and cranky. No, it’s more likely that we’ve become what we’ve been becoming all along. Those who cater to self-interest and think only of themselves are sowing seeds that will produce a harvest of misery in themselves and others. The apostle Paul wrote, “He who sows to his flesh will reap corruption but he who sows to the Spirit will reap everlasting life.” (Galatians 6:8)
On the other hand, those who love God and care for others are sowing seeds that in time will yield a harvest of joy. Every time you make a choice you are turning the central part of you, the part of you that chooses, into something a little different from when it was before. We can choose to submit our wills to God each day, asking Him to give us strength to live for Him and for others. As He works in us, we will grow in grace and in kindness. The seeds we sow today will determine what kind of fruit we harvest tomorrow. So the question to you is-“Which way are you growing?”
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:7-10
Live life, give people hope, and share your heart, wisdom and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 4.21.16
