“When is My Season?”

January 16, 2019

Good morning Lovelies. As the new year gets off to fast start, people are hustling and bustling trying to resolutions or change some aspect of their lives by setting goals.  Lord make me a vessel that can be used by you. Purify my heart, mind, and soul as I present it all to you so that I can be your instrument of healing, deliverance, and peace. I am your Servant teach me, make me, mold me, cover me and bless me to be all that you created me to be. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!

Well, let’s talk about this season. A season is each of the four divisions of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) marked by particular weather patterns and daylight hours, resulting from the earth’s changing position with regard to the sun. To make (wood) suitable for use as timber by adjusting its moisture content to that of the environment in which it will be used. Or, something that is used to give food flavor. We have gotten confused about what season means. We want it to be a season of something happening for us. I believe we can be compared to the second part of this definition because in order for God to do a work in us He has to change us or “season” us. We want Him to do this “seasoning” that we have in mind right now and in a hurry.

But God is not in time. God does not operate in the realm that we operate in. There is really not a set time that God will show up in our situations. I know our church choirs sing songs like “He’s right on time” or “God is a right now God,” but those songs are not always correct. We must learn to stop singing stuff that does not make sense on Sunday mornings. Just because someone recorded it does not mean its’ the Word of God.

But right now we must deal with this season and time issue. God is faithful and He does what He says. But God is not always going to be on time or be right now! You see, there will be times when He won’t show up. Face the facts! There will be times when He will make you wait. You may miss due dates, you may have to take that late charge, you may have to miss this month’s bills, you may have to deal with the creditors.

We are always trying to make God show up in our situations, but many of them are solely our fault and God is making us wait! Patience! This is teaching us not to do it again. This is teaching us not to buy those clothes, or go to those places we couldn’t afford. This is teaching you not to date the wrong person, or sleep around before marriage. Patience! Have I been in any of these categories? Yes, all of them! But God makes us wait sometimes and He will not be “Right Now” or “ON Time” all of the time.

I know we are living in the day when the preachers and teachers are always talking about your season! But God does not perform in seasons. Yes, He is the sole controller of the “Seasons” but we are not part of His transformations in the earthly environment. It’s funny sometimes how when something sounds good to us, we will flock to conferences, concerts, and mega ministries cause we want the good stuff they are saying God is gonna do.

Your breakthrough, your season, your next level etc. has clouded the reality of serving God and now everyone wants God because of what He will do for them. We want a breakthrough, we want out of debt, we want finances, we want our season of blessings! But the reality of it all is, WE NEED TO STOP MAKING DECISIONS THAT ARE GETTING US BOUND AND THINKING WE WON’T NEED A BREAKTHROUGH! God is more concerned with our daily walk with Him. Not a quick fix from a conference speaker!

Most of the speakers have gone through hell 80% of their lives and now they are on the other side of their Gethsemane, now they may be rich by man’s standards, driving nice fancy cars and living it up. There is nothing wrong with prosperity, but sometimes people in those positions lose their sensitivity to people that are waiting on God. So, they preach that you can be like them and make it seem like it can happen overnight. Ummmph! God doesn’t want us to be like them, He wants us to be like Him. The reality is, is that you will have to wait on God. And it may be a while.

God is not in our time and is working things out on your behalf in His own way! His ways are not our ways. He does things differently. I know you heard that you are about to step into your season of blessings, but God has no seasons for transforming us. Your season is when you decide to obey Him. Your season is when you decide to stop living in sin and start representing Him. Your season is when you accept the things of God and wait to hear from Him. Your season is when you decide that you are going to do it His way and not your own. Blessings will come continually, not just in seasons, but you must first learn to Wait.

“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!” Isaiah 30:18

Live life give people hope, share your heart, wisdom and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 01.16.19
