Good morning Lovelies. Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God says that He never meant for us to be self-sufficient. He designed you to need Him. Not only for daily bread but also for the fulfillment of deep thirst. Come to Him in all your destitution, with your defenses down and with a desire to be blessed. Father God, I am grateful to You I/we made it through the night. Thank You for keeping me/us safe while we were asleep and for giving us a chance to wake up once more. Thank You for all the blessings and gifts that You have given me/us. Thank You for giving me/us food, shelter and all that I/we need every day. I ask that you forgive everything that I/we may have done that was not pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen!
There was a time in my life that I just hated drinking water. I experienced times when I have been so thirsty, that I felt dehydrated and I tried to finally quench that thirst only to remain thirsty. I could never figure out why I continued to stay thirsty even though I had just drunk Kool-Aid, juice or even soda. But as I started drinking more water, I began to realize that if I had done this in the first place, I would not have still been thirsty after the other beverages. The water had quenched my thirst.
As I thought about how something so plain and tasteless could be the ultimate thirst quencher, the Holy Spirit began to reveal things to me saying that, “I am not plain and tasteless. “Oh taste and see that the Lord is (I am) good.” As your physical body needs water to survive and to quench your thirst, there is also water that you need, to sustain you spiritually. There is living water that you need to survive. Jesus is this living water.
As I thought about this all I could do was to begin to pray, asking God to show me, teach me, and give me this living water that I thirst for. Help me to know and to tell others about it. Being continuous in prayer sometimes is not easy. Have you ever grown tired of praying for something or someone? I have, but I realized that God has His own timeline and that my persistence is an expression of my faith that God answers prayer. Our faith shouldn’t die if the answer comes slowly for the delay may be God’s way of working His will in our lives. When we feel tired of praying know that God is present, always listening, maybe not in ways that we hoped for, but in ways that He knows are best. This is why we should continue thirsting for the wisdom and knowledge of God. Scripture tells us to taste and see that the Lord is good. Are you thirsty? The ultimate thirst quencher is available for all. Thirst no more!!!!
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!” Psalm 34:8
“Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14
“Devote yourself to prayer being watchful and thankful”. Colossians 4:2
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always, peace and blessings be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 4.12.18
