The Power of God

Good morning Beloved. Rise and shine for God’s been good to awaken us this morning. What gifts could you give to Jesus today? Maybe you need to submit to His will in a difficult area or endure misunderstanding to obey Him. Whatever you need to submit, God has given us all gifts. So why are you keeping yours wrapped?

Life has a way of punching us so hard that we lose our breath from the blow. We are rocked and shaken to the core. We wonder what the heck is going on to deserve such a blow as we were given. We are taught that God is everywhere but when we are punched and literally knocked out from the blow, it is difficult to find God in these type of circumstances. Or, let alone look at Him in a positive light during them.

But, God has a way of using our trying times, our trials and tribulations, our mess and our chaos to strengthen us. We may not see it while we go through the fight but there is a time, reason and purpose for everything. First off, we have to learn how to distinguish the tricks of the enemy and how he tries to make us think that God has no power because of what we are going through. He wants us to feel powerless and defeated but the devil is a lie!!! God is never defeated and since He has placed His spirit in all of us we should “NEVER” feel defeated!!! The Bible tells us that we are more than conquerors through Christ. (Romans 8:37). God’s Spirit works in every believer. He doesn’t limit Himself to just certain people such as the pastor.

The fruit of God’s Spirt is the character and conduct the Holy Spirit produces in all believers. These are qualities that we can’t consistently generate on our own. Especially in this season. The season of turmoil, betrayal, deceit, hurting and confusion. But the most powerful message we can give isn’t a testimony or a sermon, it’s the life we live when the pressure is on, temptation is tremendous, or we are buried under an avalanche of problems.

When life is pleasant we find praising God easy because His kindness is abundantly evident. But we may have difficulty recognizing pain and trouble as an expression of His loving care as well. In difficult times, we need to trust that God has stored up goodness for those who take refuge in Him. If you believe that God is good only when your circumstances are enjoyable, then you misunderstand His nature and have become numb to the expression of His kindness toward us. Those who’ve learned to know His character and trust His ways can see evidence of His goodness in all situations. It’s not easy when you’ve been punched so hard that you feel like the situation has you ready to throw up your insides. I haven’t always felt that the Lord was being good. There has been times in my life that were so devastating that I felt as if someone had turned me inside out and forgot to turn me back on the right side. But, the blessing about all of this is that since I knew God’s character and nature, the healing did come and I was turned back on the right side.

Was it an easy thing to do? Absolutely not. But as I look back over my life, I can see how it was only Him that brought me through it all. I could have never done it by myself. How I probably would still be somewhere twirling my hair crazier than a Betsy-bug! But for the power of God, here I am! Using my life to encourage others. That’s God’s power. I can now see even more His love and wisdom in using those trials to shape who I am in Him. To strengthen my faith! We live under the umbrella of God’s goodness. When circumstances and emotions tell you otherwise, rely on what you know. Throughout the day, look for signs of His loving care for you. As your perspective changes, you will see the signs of His goodness everywhere you turn. God’s power is everywhere. Pray. Obey. Witness. Encourage. Remain faithful-POWER!

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Live life, give people hope. Share your heart, wisdom and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 2.16.16
