The Pit Experience

Good morning Facebook family and friends. God is calling for us to be prepared and if we just listen to Him we will know just what exactly He is telling, teaching, showing, and saying to us. Don’t throw in the towel; you are just steps away from your breakthrough. As Sounds of Blackness sang, “Hold On a change is coming!”

As I thought about the title of this morning’s inspiration I began to think about all the things in my life that I have experienced up to this present moment in my life and God showed me that some of them had to be pit experiences. Some of them were to break me and mold me so that He could use me. Others were test to see if I would turn from Him.

When I asked Him what did He mean when He said that some of them had to be pit experiences, he said to me that those were the times when you felt that someone had pushed you down in a hole that you had no way of getting out of. Even though you jumped and clawed trying to climb out of it you were still stuck because you gave up on me, you lost trust in me, you didn’t depend on me and you didn’t see me even though you knew I was there. Now mind you when He said this to me, I first became sad because you really never want to hear God say that you pretty much didn’t show Him love by your actions when you really felt that you loved on Him every day.

So He began to show me when I had my pit experiences because there were more than one. I began to cry because what he showed me was so vivid and as He showed me I could see those times as if I was going through it again. But, this time, it was just a vision and He didn’t make me feel the anguish and pains of this experience because He had already brought me through it. Now the reasons for my tears was because I didn’t realize that I was even in this pit but during the time that I was “I” thought that I was giving God the glory through it but He showed me myself and it wasn’t pretty.

What God showed me is that it was a façade, that it was just a front that I was putting on for others but on the inside I was angry at Him. I questioned His love for me and I had lost trust in Him. He showed me that I had allowed Satan to draw on my emotions during that time and He had deceived me into thinking that I had to keep up this front for others. But, on the inside, I was becoming rotten, just like a piece of fruit that looks so delicious on the outside and you cut into it only to find that it was no good. God told me that even though I had these feelings during this experience He still loved me and blessed me through it.

He has allowed me to grow so much spiritually. This spiritual growth came from me studying His word even though I was experiencing tremendous hurt and abandonment. He has taught me that the battle that I was in was for my mind and for a while I was giving up and it was beginning to give Satan too much space in it. I now know that I am not in a physical battle but a spiritual battle. We have to realize that it was not just Simon that Satan wanted to sift as wheat he still desires today to sift you and me as wheat. But God gives us a weapon to fight with and that is His word. Are you up for the test? You can’t go sparring against the enemy without a weapon. Get in God’s word. Study His word. Arm yourself for battle. Because you can believe Satan is armed and ready to bust your head.

You see sometimes God has to show you that you are made to go through what you are going through. We just need to know that if He has allowed us to go through it He has equipped us to come out on the other side. You will definitely endure it. You see one of the things that God gives us during this time is prayer. When you realize what your purpose is being prayed up is essential or you may find yourself in a position or predicament you didn’t want to find yourself in.

But if you get In God’s word and learn, live and apply what He is teaching us you will be able to stand strong and say to Satan get thee behind me. You see the fight that you’re in is a fixed fight. Yes, fixed. You know why? Because Jesus won any fight that you have been in, and will ever be in when He died on the Cross. The devil loses and God wins. And since God wins that means you win also.  God does not shelter us to the degree that He does not permit us to go through some experiences! Listen, if you don’t bear your cross, you will not wear a crown! God permit us to be thrown into a “pit” sometime!

I really believe God had me to be this transparent this morning because He wanted me to share what He taught me in my pit experiences. It taught me how to be patient. Patience was something that was very important especially in the pit experience I was in at the time. Being in the hospital for almost eight months you definitely have to have patience.  He had to get me to do things God’s Way. To get me to see my true self and to get rid of any pride that I may have had that was stopping me from receiving the healing and deliverance at that time. He also wanted me to talk to Him. Finally to get me to repent so that he could prepare me for my ministry.

Listen, every child of God must have some “pit” experiences. We must go through some things, in order for God to use us!

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:7-10

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:10-20

Live life, give people hope, share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 4.6.16
