Good morning beloved. Today is a new day. Great opportunities await you today. Focus on the positive things in life. God has everything in the palm of His hand and can definitely handle the negative as well as give you positivity at the same time. “Leave the worries of last night to darkness and let the light of motivation and inspiring things take control of your mind and actions. Start a beautiful morning and end up with a successful and blessed day.”~ Justin Mayer
Many of you know that I am a student. My classes are online classes which works out just great. Especially with some of the things that life has thrown me these last couple of years. With any class that you take the instructor introduces himself and then he gives you the syllabus for his class. This syllabus usually has the rules and procedures that he expects in his class and the outline of assignments. Well, with anything in life there is always that one person that never follows the protocol. I have an instructor that fits in this category.
At the being of every semester, the first thing that I do is to read the intro about the instructor to try and get a feel for the instructor whom I’ll never see. Then I look over the syllabus to see how to plan on doing my assignments between writing my blog, working my businesses, attending Trainings, conferences and business meetings you get the picture. Anyway, I get to his syllabus only to find out that it makes no sense. The due dates for the supposed assignments say that they are due in October when the classes started in December. So it was clearly a syllabus for an old class. But even after bringing this to his attention his response was “Oh I didn’t know that,” but he never fixed it. As a matter of fact, it is still like that today.
But, as I think about this I have to admit that we are the same way. God has given us the perfect syllabus that He expects us to follow, His Word-the Bible. But even when we don’t understand it, He gives us more guidance when we take our doubts, confusion and lack of understanding to Him, we don’t change. We are just like my instructor when it is brought to our attention about how we need to follow Him or change, we respond, “Oh I didn’t know that,” and we never change.
Instructions are very important. They help you to complete something correctly and they help keep you out of harm’s way at times. And harm’s way can be many things so I won’t even begin to start naming different things that can harm you. Can you imagine buying something that needs to be put together, has numerous parts and pieces but no instructions? You would be lost or there would end up be pieces left when you finished because you couldn’t figure out where a piece goes.
God has given us the ultimate instructor that can teach us everything that we need to know. His syllabus is not complicated if it’s studied every day. That ultimate instructor is Jesus Christ. He’s the master Teacher. He never entered a classroom as we know a classroom. He never had a degree as we understand an educational degree, yet all the world was his classroom. No degreed teacher did anything greater than what Jesus Christ did. He was truly and absolutely the Master Teacher and the greatest teacher of all time!
Consider his final words, his last instructions, his ultimate command, “Go ye into all the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19 KJV). His final command was a teaching command. There were many teachers in the Bible but none greater. Think about this, “If the success of the students is the measure of the teacher, then no teacher was ever so successful as the one and only Master Teacher, Jesus Christ.” ~Ray Pritchard.
What Syllabus are you following? Is it helping you learn life’s material? Life’s lessons? If not then you need to study the right syllabus. You know what it is! Your Bible. It may sound a bit cliché but it makes perfect since. B-basic, I-instructions, B-before, L-leaving, E-earth!
“The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you” John 14:26
Live life, give people hope, share your heart, wisdom and resources. Never place a period where God says that there should be a comma.
