Good morning Lovelies. Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Father, we come to you right now first to thank you for your grace and mercies that are new every day. Lord, we pray that our hearts would learn how to rightfully fear You. We bow before You, acknowledging You as Lord and Savior of our lives. Praising You for you Mighty. We thank You for Your unending love even when we are undeserving. We stand in awe of You. We surrender our hearts to You and put You first. In the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
We are such a blessed people. Some of you may look at what’s going on in the world around us and say “how is this?” “How can you say we are a blessed people?” But I began to meditate on how God supplied manna to the Israelites every day. They were to gather just what they needed to sustain them. But, when they tried to gather more than the portion they should have it didn’t last. It turned to maggots and began to stink. This is what happened when they disobeyed the directive given to them by God. As we still do today. For the Israelites, the manna was a gift. It came every day and was just what they needed. It satisfied the physical temporary need. Christ is our daily bread that satisfies our eternal spiritual need. And is also a gift to us daily. Thus another reason for me to state that we are a blessed people.
I said that because as we move to this present day and time we too have manna. Not in the same form as the Israelites had that fell to the ground but in the person of Jesus Christ. He is our bread of life. When the world gets chaotic with those that intentionally harm others etc., they become maggoty and stinky. They have forgotten that they too have bread of life and just need to truly seek to feed on this bread daily.
You see when you truly seek and feed on the bread daily your physical heart, body, and mind is not clouded when tragedy strikes. God’s word never said that abominations such as the ones that have been in the news lately and for years would never happen. Quite the contrary, God’s word speaks of them. When I say “speaks of them,” this is a generalization of the tragedies not in any way generalizing the pain that resounds from such tragedies. But, God sent His Son, the bread of Life to feed us the strength, compassion, empathy, encouragement and a way to deal with it knowing that yet He is in control. To eat living bread means to accept Christ into our lives and become united with Christ. We are united with Christ in two ways. One by believing in His death (the sacrifice of flesh) and resurrection and two, by devoting ourselves to living as He requires.
There’s nothing new under the “Son” that you can’t find in God’s spoken Word. We pray for everyone that may be experiencing grief, suffering, and hardship all over the world. I pray that through whatever you experience you feed on the Bread of Life, Jesus. And you will find that He strengthens you to make it through. Just continue to Push. Pray Until Something Happens.
“ When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.
Moses said to them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat. This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Everyone is to gather as much as they need. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.”The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little. And when they measured it by the omer, the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little. Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed. .Then Moses said to them, “No one is to keep any of it until morning. However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. Exodus 16:14-20
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities, but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 02.25.19
