“The Attack is Real!”

Good morning  friends. This really blessed me when the Lord gave this to me this morning and I hope it does the same for you. God is an ever-present help in the time of trouble. Food for thought today.

There comes a time when we all come under attack whether it is mentally, physically, or financially. The blessing about these attacks is when God allows you to see and understand that it is just that-an attack. Satan’s attacks are just futile attempts to take your focus off of God and his Son Jesus. Thank You, God, for discernment of spirits. Satan’s attacks become stronger the closer your relationship becomes with God. When you become aware of these attacks sometimes our first instinct is to become fearful. But, I thank God that I can go to Him for comfort and reassurance. His word tells me that Elisha’s servant experienced this same feeling when he awoke to find that he and Elisha were surrounded by forces. This is what Elisha said to him. 2 Kings 6:6 “Don’t be afraid, those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” I can imagine that the servant thought Elisha had lost his mind since it was just the two of them standing there. But, how exciting and comforting to know that there are unseen warrior angels around us in times of Satan’s attacks.

Please do not be deceived and think that Satan’s attacks are not real. My comfort and strength can be found in several places in the word. Can I share them with you? Psalm 34:7, says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and He delivers them.” Psalm 117:11 says, “For he will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Hebrews 12:1 says, “We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.” Isn’t it comforting to know we are not alone even in the midst of a battle, whether it is spiritual or physical? Furthermore, it should be remembered that all angels, including the ones that minister to our needs, were involved in a heavenly war before the dawn of creation. I don’t know all the details of that war, but I do know that Satan and his demons were defeated by God and His angels. So, rest assured that the angels that are encamped around us are experienced in dealing with the forces of evil.

If they need help, they can call on the One about whom it is written: “If God be for you who can be against you?” (Romans 8:31) Know that when you believe and stand on God’s word you have the power and the authority to tell that buzzard Satan to find someone else’s sandbox to play in because the two of you don’t play well together in the sandbox. He can no longer bully you for your shovel and pail because you took it back from him when you accepted Jesus into your life.

Live life, give people hope, share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 5.9.16
