Good morning Lovelies. If you are reading this it’s a great day. Everything else is secondary. God has granted you, new grace and mercy by allowing the breath of life to encompass your body today. For that alone is a reason to be thankful. Good morning Lord. Only you know the concerns and thoughts that I have that sometimes make my heart heavy. You have felt my pain and suffering that I feel and have felt. I ask You, Lord, to take control and to be my compass. I ask that You walk with me and become a major part of me as I walk through this journey called life.
I ask that You always be by my side as you have always been, for I know without You, I wouldn’t be here right now. It is by your love and promise of salvation I am able to face every day as it comes Father. I will never waver in my trust for You. I may stray but You always bring me back and I am forever thankful for Your forgiveness. I ask that You fully take control. Lord, please shower me with Your blessings so that I may be a living example of Your love and grace. Make me a tool of Your gospel so that others may see what an amazing God You are. I pray for whoever reads this prayer and words of encouragement that You have given to me to share. I pray that it touches their lives and blesses them with all their hearts desires. In the Mighty matchless Name of Jesus, Amen!
Most of us have an Ideal of what stability is. We have an idea of how, what, and when we want it. I believe that there is a general definition of stability but it is also the same and sometimes different. There is also a difference in where it is found. Webster’s dictionary defines it as, “The quality, state, and degree of being stable. The strength to stand or endure.” Wow, the last part of this definition is powerful. I have friends and family that are dealing with some pretty serious things in their lives. Whether it is health, financial, children or just family issues period. They can throw you for a loop sometimes to the point that you’re not sure if you’re going to make it because it’s just too much to bear. It seems like it’s something else every day. Whatever is consuming us at that moment may seem so big. But one thing that I’ve found and that is change is the only thing constant.
Sometimes we embrace the changes and enjoy them. Other times the changes are hard and we wrestle against them. Sometimes we initiate them, other times they come as an unwelcomed guest. No one is exempt from change. It may come gradually and we adjust or it may come like an earthquake and it rocks our foundations that we have built. Our Stability. When our stability is shaken it places question marks in our lives. We start questioning what is still stable and what has become uncertain because of the earthquake that has happened in our lives.
Changes, both that are welcome and those that are not, can leave us with a feeling of instability. And instability doesn’t feel good. Instability is like walking on a slippery path or moving over uneven terrain. When we feel that instability and the downward pull of it, there is help. We can ask God to strengthen us. He is aware of all that is happening in our individual lives and He longs to stabilize us through transitions and changes. He invites us to sit in His presence and talk with Him and to listen to Him. This is an important step-listening. God reminds us that we can live in peace with Him. That we can have stability with Him. He knows where we are. He knows what is happening in our lives. He asks us to believe in the assurance that He will give us rest and stability through all the changes as we get close to Him. He will even carry us when it gets too hard. Listen to the promise. “He that dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest (find stability) in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1
Whatever change that you are facing today, whether it is one you sought-after or one you wished never happened. Reach out to God and let Him steady you. Give you stability. Tell Him where you feel unstable. Whether it is emotions, your physical strength, your wisdom, your finances or future. Dwell in him. He can comfort you during these times. Meaning, keep your communication open with Him, tell what Him you want. He is a sure source of stability.
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma. Add a teaspoon of compassion for those in need and pray that others follow your lead.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 1.10.19
