Good morning Lovelies. Lord, Thank You so much for everything. For all the trials, pain, hurt, sorrow, and struggles in life that really mold me to become a better, stronger and more righteous person in Your sight. Thank you, Lord, for the unstoppable blessings that You’ve given me, my family, friends and all the people that are around me. Let Your plans be done in my life and to the life of my loved ones Jesus. Use me as an instrument to inspire others, to help others who hunger for Your presence, God. In the mighty Matchless Name of Jesus. Amen!!!
There comes a time in our lives when we have to do self-evaluations. Without self-evaluations, there can be no growth. We evaluate mentally, financially and spiritually. Just like there is financial bankruptcy, you can also become spiritually bankrupt. In other words, there is no appetite for the word of God. We have spiritual food, God’s Word but many still look everywhere for answers to life’s problems except in Scripture. “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “When I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, But rather for hearing the words of the LORD. (Amos 8:11)
After all, what’s the point of being financially free if we’re spiritually bankrupt? Our financial status is a temporary situation, whereas our spiritual status is an eternal condition. When we think the chances are in our favor we are more inclined to wager more than we would want to lose. You can even love the Lord and still be spiritually bankrupt. I believe that at the foundation of our Christian faith is spiritual bankruptcy. Now, I’m not saying that this is a bad thing. But it is if you stay in the state of bankruptcy. What do I mean by this? Glad you asked. The spiritual bankruptcy that I’m talking about is the result of recognizing that apart from God we can do nothing. If this is never realized you will stay in a state of bankruptcy.
It is the willingness to be broken and reduced to spiritual bankruptcy to make a fresh start. Decreasing self and allowing Jesus to take over. It’s reconciling your account. So that you can initiate a balance transfer and you begin to schedule regular deposits. Teetering on the edge of spiritual bankruptcy is not fun, but it’s a red flag to motivate you to seek spiritual encouragement. And to receive it. The entire culture is pressing on us to take our eye off the prize. To divert our attention from Jesus to the flesh, our problems and anything else that can divert our attention. The enticements of that Olé’ Buzzard.
God knows the intentions of man and sees into what is really going on in every situation. I believe that God is looking for opportunities such as these to show his glory. God is great at getting us out of tough situations that we get ourselves into or that other people get us into. Ask Him to help get you out of spiritual bankruptcy and He will not let you down. Be prepared to fight to get out of debt, because it is going to be a fight. Just because God is helping you doesn’t mean that it is going to be a walk in the park. But, you can be assured that if you did it God’s way (even though it may take longer) you will be greatly rewarded. It is worth it.
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. © krw 3.26.18
