Good morning Lovelies. Father God, thank you that you promise never to leave us and never to forsake us. Help me have the wisdom to see clearly that just because sometimes I don’t feel Your presence, doesn’t mean you’re not with me always. Help me have peace that comes from knowing the Truth of Your word to me today. You will never leave your children or give up on them. Help me live a life that honors You and points others toward You. Help me to continue inspiring and encouraging your people. Help me to be obedient to Your voice and the calling You have on my life. Continue humbling me for Your glory and for others to see You through me. In the Mighty, Matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
I swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth so help me, God! I love you! Hmmm, wow really??? Truth and love are frequently discussed but seldom displayed or practiced in our world today. From politicians, marketers, or just people in general, they conveniently ignore or conceal facts and use words to enhance positions or sell products.
Perjury is common and it doesn’t just happen in a courtroom in a courthouse. It happens in the courthouse of life also, it’s called lying. Integrity credibility are endangered species. Words twisted in meaning and torn from context, have become mere tools for ego building. So it is not surprising that we have to swear to tell the truth. And what about love? Tina Turner wrote, “What’s love got to do with it, got to do with it?” I feel like people have made this their premise for love. But God says it has a lot to do with it.
The world is filled with its words and sayings, popular songs, greeting cards, media and romantic novels. They shower us with the notions and dreams of ethereal, idyllic relationships and feelings. Real love, however, is scarce-selfless giving, caring, sharing and even dying for. We yearn to love and to be loved but we see few living examples of real love.
Jesus is truth and love in person. Therefore, all who claim to be believers and followers must be committed to these ideals. Following the truth, living the truth, reflecting love and acting with love toward one another. After all, isn’t this what Jesus did? Will you genuinely show it today?
“And this love, that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love.” 2 John 6
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 4.26.18
