Good morning friends. God gives new grace and mercies every day. Thank Him today for yours. God doesn’t just throw the anointing out He pours it out-He gives you and I a measure of faith we should walk in and increase by trusting in Him.
Simply trust. This is one of the most difficult concepts to communicate to non-believers. They have a hard time understanding that they can’t do anything to earn God’s favor. Jesus paid the penalty for all their sins when He died on the cross. To receive God’s forgiveness and eternal life, and to have a right relationship with Him, all we need to do is cast ourselves on His mercy and trust Him to save us.
The apostle Paul put it this way: “To him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.” (Romans 4:5) A person who understood this truth wrote he had assumed that to swim, he must constantly struggle to keep from sinking. But one day an expert swimmer watched him for a few minutes and then shouted, “Stop fighting the water and trust it to hold you up.” So he lay flat in the water without moving. To his delight, it held him up. Humph, why didn’t someone tell him that years ago!
So many people constantly struggle to become Christians. If they would only trust Christ, they would realize that does the saving. Have you been attempting to save yourself? If so then stop trying and start trusting!
“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore, no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law, we become conscious of our sin. Righteousness through faith-But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:19-24
“What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, discovered in this matter? If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” Romans 4:1-8
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 5.16.16
