Good morning Lovelies, this is the day that the Lord has made. As always I will rejoice and be glad in it. Father, I come to you on this morning praying for all of your children near and far. Please help me move beyond the obstacles that trip me up Lord and give me the strength, courage, and wisdom, to move in the direction that You prepare for me Lord. No matter what others may think or understand. Lord, I thank You for the new beginnings that You have placed in my life. The fresh at the beginning of every day. Growing me, nourishing, me with Your truth so that I can continue taking steps toward You. May this inspire and encourage all those who may read what You have given me. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!
Perspective-what is it. Webster’s definition states, “The relationship in which a subject or its parts are viewed mentally.” How many times have we had an “opinion” on something, been convinced that we were right, only to have someone else turn up with previously unconsidered information or introduce a different viewpoint. Thus, prompting a whole new way of thinking or seeing it. Being ready to listen to another perspective is also another way of shifting your perspective. Being ready to listen or shift to another perspective is important.
Sometimes I’m surprised how people, myself included, will move our families from one location to another without much thought or prayer for that matter. Oh, there are always reasons, we get a better job, it’s a better place to raise kids, etc. Some of these factors are worth considering, of course. But, oftentimes the Lord and His purpose are hardly considered in our shift. It’s easy to get excited about a shift, a move, if you will.
Maybe life has been boring and a shift is an adventure. Maybe you’re tired of your problems with your job. Maybe the shift means more money, more opportunities. But we need to pump the brakes long enough to pray about it and see if the shift in our perspective lines up with what God has for us. Think about it this way. On my laptop, there is an important key simply titled “Shift” that is used when you want to capitalize. It is one of the main functions. Pressing it with a number and you go from a number to a symbol. I believe you’re getting the picture. Without the shift key, these functions would not be possible. Just like this analogy, shifting your perspective without including God in the shift usually is an unsuccessful shift. We literally become comfortable in the shift even when it doesn’t yield an actual shift. We’re comfortable with accepting the bare minimum.
We’ve been so conditioned to think that we handle the shifting of perspective that we don’t need to stop and include God in these decisions. We can always work on shifting our perspectives and how we respond to the shift that happens in our lives. Shifting how we respond can make a big difference!
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord” Isaiah 55:8
Love life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma. As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. krw©8.22.20
