Good morning Lovelies. Today is a new day. Father, so many things in life require me to walk courageously. Some small, and some epic. Give me the courage that I need to get through each situation, so I can bring glory to Your name. Thank You, Father, that when life is unpredictable, I can still depend on You. You are always near me. Help me cling to You when everything else is shaking. Father God, help me see life through Your eyes. Let that motivate me to stay on course. Keep me away from the things that hinder me from putting on my walking shoes and hitting the track. I know You have a plan for my life but sometimes it’s hard to see. Thank You for hearing me and coming to my rescue. You keep me steady and safe. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
Refreshing and renewal! Are you needing that today? Life can wear us down, and we can become stressed and tired of the business of life. We often tend to believe that there are people or things that can help us revive; paid vacation, relaxing, and just doing nothing. But, the truth is we have everything we need in God.
Whether we realize it or not there is an insatiable desire within each and every one of us for renewal from God because we can only be satisfied in Him. No matter how sharp a knife is if it isn’t sharpened it will get dull. The same happens when we don’t refresh and renew our minds and bodies. We must constantly be renewing and refreshing and reviving our soul and spirit in the things of God.
These are just rhetorical questions and I’m not expecting an answer to any of them. I’m just putting them out there. How many of you are happy where you’re at in life? How many of you believe that God is happy where you are in life? Just about everyone has been through some type of battle or struggle. Sometimes one right after another, from illnesses to financial difficulties, and everything in-between that have literally taken your breath away. And what you need now is to get yourself re-sharpened, which is, get yourself refreshed renewed, and revived.
One of the most important and commonly neglected areas of our overall health is rest. Rest is essential to good health. Even medical science says that those who get regular and adequate rest are more likely not to get sick as compared to those who burn the midnight oil as they say. We live in a 24/7 culture with cellphones and the internet. But yet we seem to always be in a hurry and feel like we are running out of time. So we push ourselves even harder, squeezing every second out of our jobs, play, and families. The thinner we spread ourselves, the more we’ll soon find there is nothing left of us at the end of the day.
But doing more isn’t the answer. The answer is rest. The answer is refreshing and renewing ourselves. Even God rested on the seventh day of creation. He created this day of rest because He knew we would need a “stop what you’re doing” day. Now I don’t know about you but I find this hard to do. And so to get ourselves back on track to being refreshed, renewed, and revived, we first need to get rest from this chaotic world, and this comes through and can only be found in Jesus!
“Jesus said, come to Me, all who labor and are he
heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 1:28-30
Love life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma. As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. krw©9.17.2020
