Good morning family and friends. It is the 1st day of the second month of the year. Yet another chance and another day to a new season. Didn’t accomplish what you set out to do in the month of January? Don’t give up, persevere, press! Dreams, goals and accomplishments come with persistence, consistency and movement. Trust me this message right here was for me first.
It always amazes me that God can give you revelation about any and everything that you have going on in your life. Anything that you are thinking or on anything that you are wanting to do. Last year I started a quest to lose weight, eat healthier and begin exercising. I left the gate running with this mission and was really doing a great job. Weight began to fall. Exercising began to be less and less difficult to do. It is always hard to stay motivated about something that wasn’t a part of your everyday living and now it has to be. But then life trips you up during your journey and throws you off track a little. No biggie it happens right? Well, being sick the whole month of December wasn’t enough. No soon as I begun to feel better, It’s now January and I brought the New Year in not sick. Yeah! But then I was told that I would have to have surgery and I would have to stay off my feet completely from 4 to 6 weeks. What! So I said to God, “Really God laid up another 4 to 6 weeks?” But then I knew what was going on. It was something that He wanted to show me, teach me, wanted me to do or keep me from during this time. You see He was reminding me that my mind, body, soul and spirit had to be on one accord and nourished to function in the capacity that He needed me to be in.
I needed to refresh, revive and rejuvenate. He wanted my mind to be on Him. I had been failing in writing my morning inspirations and with, this time, they started again. Which helped my soul and my spirit. He also showed me things that are coming in the near future that I needed to be ready for. But, while spending this time off of my feet I gained back some of the pounds lost and I couldn’t exercise. The revelation God gave me about this is, I didn’t have to get bummed out about it, which I had started doing. He said just go back to the beginning and continue on from there. Go back to the source of motivation. He said that it had to start with a new mindset to get my body back where it needs to be. The spirit that is in me will help me accomplish this because He has placed it in me. That once the body and spirit get together it will definitely have an effect on my soul. The soul consists of my mind (which includes my conscience), my will and my emotions.
According to the Bible, mankind is distinct from all the rest of creation, including the animals, in that he is made in the image of God. Man is made up of physical material, the body that can be seen and touched. But he is also made up of immaterial aspects, which are concrete-this includes the soul, spirit, intellect, will, emotions, conscience, and so forth. These immaterial characteristics exist beyond the physical lifespan of the human body and are therefore eternal. Since we are made in the image of God we were created in three parts. Body, soul and spirit. We need to understand how each part works and what its purpose consists of. Even our worship is to include all 3 parts of us. But that’s a blog for another day.
My spirit #1 is the real me, with my spirit I contact God. This part of us is complete and restored when we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior. My Soul is my Mind, will and personality. This part of us needs to be renewed or restored. This is the part of us, our conscience that needs to get the Mind of Christ. My Body is what houses everything so it is important to take care of temple that God has given us to house our mind, body, soul and spirit. The human spirit requires “the spark of regeneration” before there is an understanding of the things of God. Our spiritual nature must be renewed before there is a true conception of what God wants and has for us-Godliness. Only one thing stands as a guard at the door of our spirit, and that is our own will. When the will is surrendered, the Holy Spirit takes up His residence in the spirit of man. It’s never too late to get your mind, body, and spirit right! You/we have work to do for the kingdom!
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[a] and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Live life, give people hope. Share your heart, wisdom and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always Peace and blessings, be safe. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 2.1.16
