“Limitation or Advantage?”

Shackles

Good morning Lovelies. Greetings you in the Name of our Savior Jesus Christ. Dear Lord, may nothing separate me from You today. Teach me how to choose only Your way today so each step will lead me closer to You. Help me walk by the Word and not my feelings. Help me to keep my heart pure and undivided. Protect me from my own careless thoughts, words, and actions. And keep me from being distracted by “My” wants, “My” desires, and My thoughts on how things should be. Help me to embrace what comes my way as an opportunity rather than a personal inconvenience. Help me to rest in the truth of Psalm 86:13, “Great is your love toward me.” You already see the ways I will fall short and mess up. But right now, I ask for forgiveness for anything that I may have done that did not represent You. I recognize Your love for me is not based on my performance. You love me flaws and all. That’s amazing. But what’s most amazing is that the Savior of the world would desire a few minutes with me this morning. Lord, help me to forever remember what a gift it is to sit with You like this. In the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus. Amen.

We’ve been taught that when we ask God for something through prayer, His answer may be yes, no, or wait. We’re told that even “no” is an answer, though obviously not the one we want to hear. I’m sure it definitely was not the answer that Paul was looking for when he asked God three times to remove the thorn in his flesh. (2 Corinthians 12:7-8). Whatever his thorn was it weakened him. But God’s answer to him was priceless. His answer said so much. His answer was “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9). This was a beautiful thing though some would not think so. You see our weakness is a blessing when we lean on God’s strength instead of our own. Because scripture also tells us that Paul said that this thorn was to keep him from becoming conceited. That’s a powerful word there. How often have we become conceited about something that we felt we had done, but knowing it was only God who could have done it, but you want people to look at you instead of the one who performed it-God!!!

We often pray for God to remove our thorns. Whatever they might be. We each have our own. But God has not removed them no matter how hard or how much we have prayed for Him to remove them. What we sometimes fail to realize is that we get something far greater by dealing with the thorns of life-we receive greater grace from God. We learn humility, and we are able to empathize with others. This is also a great testimony to others to see God at work in your life. There are times when God doesn’t spare some believers of their thorns. It’s not for us to figure out or to understand why some are spared and others aren’t. It is according to His divine purpose that He does. We just need to pray, believe and continue trusting in Him. We should be glad that God says that in our weakness His power is displayed.

When we are strong in our abilities, we are tempted to do God’s work. We don’t wait on Him. This is what leads to conceitedness and pride. When we are weak and allowing God to fill us with His power we are stronger then we could ever be on our own. God does not intend for us to seek to be weak, passive, or ineffective. Life provides enough hindrances and setbacks without us creating them. When those obstacles come we must depend on God. Strong people should realize that their abilities, powers, and advantages can easily be taken away by God. Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before stumbling. There is no person in this world that does not have a purpose, but not everyone cares to discover the purpose of his existence. Which is a form of limitation.

The spirit of limitation delays destinies from getting to their ordained expected place. The spirit of limitation is a force that must be broken out from if you will fulfill destiny in grand style.  If you don’t break out of the yoke of limitation, you can never get to where God has designed for you to get to and thereby not enjoy all that has been prepared for your destiny.

To be limited is to be restricted, resisted and restrained. Why would we want to do this or be like this, when allowing God to work in the limitation we have will definitely be an advantage.

Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 4.9.18
