“Keep Training”

September 17, 2020

Good morning lovelies. I’m so happy to be able to share with you again this morning. Father, as I thank You for the gift of life, I also thank You for the gift of wonderful people I have met along this journey. Some of them inspire me, stretch me, challenge me, love me, and encourage me. All of them helped me to realize how meaningful and beautiful life can be. Bless them all Lord, with good health, security, wealth, success, peace, and joy. Granting them their desires and ordering their steps. In the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus. Amen!

Challenges come to all of us. Sometimes they can feel overwhelming. When they do our tendency is to often become discouraged in our faith. One of my friends posted about being in some very stretching circumstances with her mind when she goes to sleep and that she was losing the battle with what was stretching her mentally. I could hear in her words that she was worried and afraid. Some posted prayers and then there were those who wanted to know what was wrong that she was feeling that way.

Some I could tell were wondering why she was feeling like that because surely she knew that God would not let her go all the way down the road she was on to only close the door on her! She was in a tough and confusing spot. What she needed next was a prayer that God would reveal the next step to her. And He will. What she didn’t need at this time was to have to explain why she was feeling the way that she did. This can be part of the problem too, stop trying to always find out the “tea” before praying for someone! When you see that prayer is needed just Pray! We know God’s track record in our lives. So, we know that He can be depended on.

When life is tiring or confusing it’s easy to lose hope in God’s ability to work on our behalf. Especially when that Olé Buzzard (the devil) keeps trying to rear his ugly head! We can become weary and not bother picking up or Bible to hear what His Spirit has to say to us. We tend to stop praying, or, have the feeling that God isn’t hearing us anyway.

God knows our nature is to fall away when times are hard and we are confused. He knows we will tend to neglect His Word. He also reminds us not to. “Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” Hebrews 5:13

Righteousness means choosing a “Yes Lord,” attitude in all of life. No matter what comes our way. Spiritual discernment grows as we live in the mature state of being able to say…”Yes Lord,” I will trust You, even in my darkest hours. Hard circumstances in life can be times of equipping. The roots of a mighty tree must go deep so it will be grounded when the fierce winds blow.

During times of deep challenge make a choice to trust God. Make a decision to allow God to equip you with spiritual understanding and wisdom for your next step. Stay disciplined. Keep standing on the promises of His Word. Allow the door of your heart to stay open with an invitation for Him to lead you every step of the crooked way. He will build a track record in your life that will secure you in your faith. He is just that faithful. Guard your mind and heart with prayer and His Word. Though circumstances and people may disappoint you, God never will. His strength will hold your hand and your heart through those times when your world is shaken.

We have to keep ourselves prepared to win through training our minds, discipline, and God's Word. Which, will keep your spiritual heart in shape, develop your spiritual muscles, and strengthen your faith. The key is to stay in training.

Love life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma. As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. krw©9.16.2020
