“It’s Inward, Not Outward!”

Good Morning Lovelies. I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Father, thank You for not leaving us without counsel on issues that are hard for us to figure out. Thank You also for teaching us the wisdom of seeing ourselves when we fail to see the higher, broader, more eternal implications of our actions. Help me to be motivated. I long to honor You in everything that I say and do. I long to treat those around me as You would. Yet, sometimes I struggle in some areas and I need Your help. I long to be a good example for those around me and sometimes I fail. Lord, I ask that You will help me in all these areas so that I can grow and become the role model in You that You want me to be. Please guide my mind and emotions every day. In the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus. Amen!

How long do you take in preparing yourself when you get dressed? Hummm, interesting question. Some of us have probably never thought about how long it takes. We just decide what we want to wear and try our best to make sure that it looks good. Because we want to make sure that others will view us as “looking good!” But, is God included as part of the preparation? It is easy to touch up our outward appearance to look as if we have it all together.

Our attempts to look good can fool many people. But do we open our hearts and mind during this preparation to spend time with God preparing ourselves inwardly? God sees straight through our outward appearance into the depths of our being. There is no place for pretense in our relationship with God. Don’t worry about what others think about how you look or what you wear. Focus on God and guard your heart and mind at all times. We know that man can be very judgmental. So we focus on worrying about what he or she may say about us. When people judge by outward appearances they may overlook individuals who don’t have the outward presence that society admires and measures a person on appearance. It doesn’t reveal what people are really like or what their true value may be.

Fortunately, God judges by faith and character, not appearance. And because only God can see on the inside only He can judge. Most people spend hours each week maintaining their outward appearance but spend less or no time maintaining their inward man. While everyone can see your face, only you and God know what your heart really looks like. It’s an inward relationship nurture it. Our inward man, the real you needs all the strength it can get. He or she has a real enemy and that enemy never rests. Your adversary Satan.

“But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’” 1 Samuel 16:7

Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities, but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 02.06.19
