Good morning Lovelies. Today is a new day for great things to happen. New day, new chances to move in the greatness that God created you to be. New day, new opportunities. Father, we thank You that no situation is too far out of Your control to provide for us. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides. We thank You that You own it all, and hold everything in Your hands. We thank You that You know our needs before we even ask, before we even come to You. You alone can move mountains. We ask for Your answer, in Your timing, in Your plan for our lives, to be given for every need that weighs our hearts down. Forgive us Father for any doubt, any worrying and for trying to work it out on our own. We thank You in advance for Your miracles. Thank You for the abundance of blessings and grace, You have already given us. Thank You for teaching us how to abound and abase in all things. In the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus, Amen!
Because God is infinite, certain aspects of His nature will always remain a mystery. One of the mysteries of God that He has shown us is that He will always provide. Providing doesn’t just mean financially because He takes care of us in every area of our lives. I can remember as a child dreaming and praying that one day I would be rich and famous. (I’m sure we all have had this dream in some form or another).
Fast forward to present times and having a chance to watch and observe those who have fame and fortune, I see how having an abundance of riches can be a blessing and a curse. I say a blessing because some remember where they came from on their journey through life. Or, they realize that it is a gift that God has afforded them, and they stay humble. Then there is the curse where the individual forgets about
God, becomes arrogant, proud, and greedy. They develop an all about “me” mentality.
Now my thoughts are God I ask You to continue to humble me. Help me to humbly stay in a mindset of thanksgiving. Keep me in a state of mind in which nothing takes my focus off of You. Neither riches nor poverty will shake me because Your Word teaches us that You will supply all of our daily needs. I’m not in any way, suggesting that having riches is in any way wrong or bad. I just want to always acknowledge that the riches God supplies are so much more than monetary.
Having too much money can be dangerous, but so can having too little. Being poor can be hazardous to your spiritual as well as physical health. On the other hand, being rich is not the catch-all to be-all answer. Some will probably think and say she has lost her mind but trust me I haven’t. We have enough things in our lives that we have knowingly and unknowingly made idols or have been placed on the altar before God. I am on a daily mission to eliminate these idols or things that I have unknowingly made idols. So, therefore, I no longer dream of riches because God supplies all my needs and gives me my daily bread. Do I want to live a comfortable life? Of course, I do but it does not consume me.
Jesus Himself pointed out that rich people have trouble getting into the Kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:23,24 says, “Then Jesus said to His disciples, I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven, Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.” We can learn how to live whether we have a little or plenty, I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation. Whether well feed or hungry, whether living in plenty or want! God’s riches are worth striving for…they are endless…….!!
“But our lives are more effective if we have neither poverty nor riches, abound and abase in all things.” Philippians 4:12
Love life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma. As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. krw©8.20.20
