God Is Still In Control

Good morning Facebook family and friends. When we approach God in prayer it is not just something that we haphazardly do. How we approach Him does make a difference but it’s how you ask and, are you believing what you’re praying and saying He can do. God is going to provide for us, for what He wants to come out of us.

We must not get preoccupied with our pain that we forget about the fact that God has a plan for our life. Don’t’ get preoccupied with the significance of the “immediate.” The immediate is everything that you may be going through now. It could be everything that you have prayed for recently, just this morning as a matter of fact. We have all been in the lion’s den at one point in our lives and some of us are still in there. But if we read Daniel we will find that it was prayer that got Daniel placed in the lion’s den and it was a prayer that got him out. In other words, because Daniel wouldn’t give in to being told that he could only pray to the king of the land and not to God he was thrown into the lion’s den because he continued to pray anyway. Because he didn’t give in and prayed to go while in the lion’s den God brought him out of that circumstance.

Think about your circumstances or situations that you have right now. This is not the first time that you have faced trouble. When you look back over your life you have to realize something-God had to bring you through your previous trouble for you to even be going through what you’re going through now. God already knows what you are going through. Nothing blindsides God. So instead of going to God informing Him of what you’re going through, ask Him what He wants you to do in it. Don’t get preoccupied with what’s happening in the earthly realm and focus on the heavenly realm.

When you’re in a lion’s den you ought to shout and praise Him while you’re in the lion’s den. Don’t wait until you get out, so many of us are afraid of the devils bark, when he doesn’t have any bite. Just trust in God. God’s wisdom is such that whatever gets by us doesn’t get by Him. He is without fault or failure. He is a God of power. It’s God who had the ultimate word and God who has the last word at the end of the day.

“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help. So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: “Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or human being except to you, Your Majesty, would be thrown into the lions’ den? “The king answered, “The decree stands—in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.”

Then they said to the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, Your Majesty, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day.” When the king heard this, he was greatly distressed; he was determined to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him. Then the men went as a group to King Darius and said to him, “Remember, Your Majesty, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict that the king issues can be changed.” So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!” A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s situation might not be changed. Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep. At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor, have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.” Daniel 6:10-22

Live life, give people hope, share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 4.9.16
