Good morning Lovelies. This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Our Father, which art in heaven, hallow be thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be down, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Father, I ask that you dedicate Jussie Smollett and his family. Lord, I ask that you touch the hearts of the people. Help them to see that we all are your children. We all bleed the same. Father I as that You bring deliverance, healing, strengthening, grace, and mercy to the land. You said that if Your people that are called by Your name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek Your face and turn from their wicked ways, then will You hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and You will heal the land. Father, I know that I am only one person. But, I seek Your face and I’m standing in the gap praying for Your people and our country. Satan is running rampant in so many ways and in so many areas. But I know that You are an all-knowing and all-seeing God. I thank You in advance for the mercies that You will rain down on Your people. Father, I ask that you bless those who are out in this frigid weather may they find shelter. Lord, you know what Your people need and I ask that You grant it and if there is someone or something that I should have prayed for I ask that you forgive me and grant it as only you can. It is in the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus. Amen!
As I sit here thinking on the title of my blog, it is clearly understood that walking by faith every day takes dedication. Dedication to believe in a God that has all power in His hands and If He said that He would do it, it is already done. Still, interesting enough though, is this “Is it easy to have a focus on faith with the treacherous things that are going on in the world today? No, it’s not. This is why I know and feel deep in my heart that it is an everyday walk to have faith each day.
But, because I have a relationship with Him whether I see the things right away or not that I pray for, I will always have the faith that God will take care of it. Having an everyday walk of faith is a lifestyle. Having an everyday walk of faith is an exercise for your soul and it deepens your relationship with God. You can talk to Him the whole time that you walk. Imagine you decide to exercise and take a walk with a friend, the two of you talk the whole time that you are walking. Well your walk with God is the same way. Part of having an everyday faith walk is to talk to Him.
Jesus went on these types of walks with the disciples. And He still wants to have these types of walks with us today. When the zeal of God captures you, it will ignite within you a great passion to want to walk with Him. God wants to walk with us before He can work through us. Walking by faith is something that at one time or another we all struggled with this. We can be inspired by a great sermon, or a song, or someone giving us a word of encouragement. But, as soon as the emotions of that event fade we are faced with whether or not we will still walk by faith.
To understand how to walk by faith, you must first understand where it comes from. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God.” So now that we know where faith comes from how do we walk in faith every day? It starts by taking action! That sounds simple since none of us remember learning how to walk. We have seen our children learn how to walk though. There are a lot of missteps, a lot of falling, and a lot of getting back up.
The same thing happens to us. We miss things, we fall, and we get ahead of God. However, in the end, we learn how to walk, and the way we start is by taking that first step. When we walk by faith, we need to be able to see the final destination. This will keep us from being distracted by things and paths along the way that moves us a different direction or from just walking in circles. Walking in faith everyday encompasses our physical and spiritual lives.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities, but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 01.30.19
