Good morning friends. Knowing God takes faith, focus, and follow-through. And God assures us that we will be rewarded don’t give up in your efforts to seek God. Continue to ask Him for more knowledge, patience, wisdom, love and understanding. He will give them to you. Father, You are the creator of all things. You called forth the planets with a word and established the stars with the sound of your voice. You have authority over all the resources of the universe, and you have promised to meet all of our needs.
We are such a blessed people. Some of you may look at what is going on in the world around us and say, “How are we?” I thought about this response and I began to meditated, on how God supplied Manna to the Israelites everyday.
The Israelites were to gather just what they needed to sustain them. Some did this and then there were those who tried to gather more than then the portion they should have, it didn’t last. It turned into maggots and began to stink. This is what happened when they disobeyed the directive given them by God. As we still do today.
I said that because as I move my thoughts to the present day and time we too have Manna. Not in the same form as that which fell to the earth, but in the person of Jesus Christ. He is our bread of life. When the world gets chaotic with those that intentionally harm others, etc. they become maggoty, stinking things. They have forgotten or refuse to believe that they too have bread of life and they just need to truly feed on this bread daily. Jesus the bread of life will help change their devious thinking to that of love for everyone.
You see when you truly seek and feed on the bread of life daily your heart and mind is not clouded when this tragedy does strike. God’s word never said that abominations such as the ones that have been in the news lately and for years, would never happen. Quite the contrary, God’s word speaks of them. (When I say speaks of them, this is a generalization of the tragedies and not in any way generalizing the pain that resounds form such tragedies.) But God sent His Son the Bread of Life, to feed us the strength, compassion, empathy, encouragement and a way to deal with it knowing that yet He is in control.
There is nothing new under the “Son” that you can’t find in God’s spoken word. We pray for everyone that may be experiencing grief, suffering, and hardship all over the world. I pray that through whatever you experience, you feed on the Bread of Life, Jesus and you will find that this strengthens you to make it through. Just continue to “PUSH”. (Praying until something happens).
When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.
Moses said to them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat. This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Everyone is to gather as much as they need. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.” The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little. And when they measured it by the omer, the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little. Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed. Then Moses said to them, No one is to keep any of it until morning.” However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. Exodus 16:14-20
I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But, here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” John 6:48-51
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 5.13.16
