Good morning Lovelies. Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that you are in good spirits this morning. Knowing that our God is an awesome God He reigns. Father, we thank You first of all for life, health, strength, the activities of a sound mind, and for the love that You shower on us daily. Help us to be more like You. Showing love and kindness to others, quick to forgive, and to always stay humble. Give us discernment before we speak Lord. Season our speech so that we will speak life and not death. Let those things that are in our lives die that are not glorifying You. Lord bless this country. If we seemed to never need You we definitely need You now. I ask that You forgive us for not trusting in You and putting more trust in a man whom You created. In the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus. Amen!
The Bible tells us that we are new creations when we turn our lives over to God and accept Him. There are so many things that are happening in the world around us that are not the ways of God. Many Christians are finding it a struggle to not adapt themselves to their surroundings. Or, they don’t want to clash with the accepted morals of society, for fear of conflict.
There are is one sure remedy for a world that is sick and dying in sin-seek the Lord and live! Sin seeks to destroy, but hope is found in seeking the Lord. In times of difficulty, seek God, in personal discomfort and struggle, seek God. When others are struggling encourage them to seek God.
True believers don’t blend in very well. Listen, we are not like the chameleon whose survival ability and instinct is to turn green if laying in a bed of grass. Or, turn brown or the color of the earth when crossing to fool those around him. It changes to adapt and match his environment. Much like we do. But his is a God-given camouflage. But, God doesn’t want us to be camouflaged. He wants us to be careful not to blend in with the world accepting it’s values and lifestyles.
Our lives are to make a difference for God. Christians must never compromise with sinful ideas and practices to blend in with the people around us that we know are not following the will of God. Some might say that we think that we are holier than thou or that we are better than others. Naw, it’s not that at all. We are the remnant that doesn’t change colors to fit into the environments around us. The Word says we are a peculiar people. In other words, each Christian has a job to do, a role to take, or a contribution to make.
One assignment may seem greater than another but all are necessary to carry out God’s plan for His church (you) and the world. This may look and seem foolish to the world because it values being greater or better than something or someone. But, knowing Jesus personally, being bold in Him, and obeying His Word is the greatest wisdom and knowledge, peace and abundance that anyone can have. Because it shows your peculiarity from the world. Are you a chameleon and just blending in? Or, can you truly be seen as a follower of Jesus Christ? To blend or not to blend that is the question!
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities, but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 02.07.19
