“Confession”

Kim W.

Good morning friends. God is calling for a remnant. Is that you? I have a question for you, “Have you confessed lately?” “You ask what do I have to confess?” Or “When did I do something to confess?” My answer to you is probably everyday. There are times when we don’t even know we have done something that needs to be confessed. Most people look at confession as a bad thing. Something to be ashamed of. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

We need to learn that all confessions should not be considered negative in nature. We are a people who feel guilty and condemned often at times in our lives. Although they may have been at different times in our lives. We usually know when we have sinned. And you feel that you are just not worthy of forgiveness or can never get out of your sinful nature.

There is reassurance that this is just a trick of the enemy. He is demanding the death penalty for you. But when you feel like this don’t give up or give in to him. The best Defense Attorney in the universe is pleading your case-Jesus Christ, your advocate, your defender is the Judge’s Son. He has already suffered your penalty in your place. You can’t be tried for a case that’s no longer on the docket.

United with Christ, you are as safe as He is. Don’t be afraid to ask Christ to plead your case-confession, because He has already won it. Jesus Christ is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Remember He is our Defense Attorney. He can stand before God as our mediator because His death satisfied the wrath of God against sin and paid the death penalty for our sin.

This is why confession as they say is good for the soul. This doesn’t mean that you confess the same sin over and over and then wonder if you may have forgotten something. God wants to forgive us; which is why He gave His only Begotten Son to die just so He could offer us pardon. His death cleared all the sins we have committed or will ever commit.

With that being said our confessions should also be spiritual. What I mean by this is we should start confessing the word of God. Colossians 1:13 says, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.”  Confession-I walk in your Godly Kingdom today, for Jesus has destroyed Satan’s kingdom in my life. Satan, I command you to stop your maneuvers in my life. I bind you and cast you out!

2 Corinthians 2:14 says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of His knowledge of us in every place.” Confession-I walk in total triumph in every situation, for Jesus has destroyed failure in my life. I am an over-comer and can do all things through Christ. I have the victory and the victory has me! I am a victor and a king!

Ephesians 2:6 says, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Confession-I reign from my heavenly throne-room position, for Jesus has destroyed an inferior position in my life. I rule and reign with Jesus today. Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. Father, you are Lord of heaven and earth, and we go out and possess the land today. Satan’s doors are closed, and many doors are open for me to speak Your Word boldly.

I could go on and on but I’m sure you get the picture. So in your everyday walk make sure that you have a confession in your heart and never be afraid to speak it.

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

Live life, give people hope, share your heart, wisdom and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Remember God loves you and so do I. © krw 5.24.16
