“Be Still”

Good morning Facebook family and friends. Father God my prayer this morning says so much. It may be short for some but valid for us all. May every word you speak today be seasoned with Grace. In the Mighty, Matchless name of Jesus. Amen!!!! (Large bold print emphasized.)

Have you ever felt like following God was like a wild goose chase? No matter how hard you tried you could never catch it as long as it was running. Have you ever felt discouraged? Or disappointed? Has something in your life ever failed to turn out the way “you” wanted it to be? Restless? Concentration and focus hard to come by these days? God is saying be still and know that I AM GOD!

Even though war, destruction, and killings are all around us as seen daily on TV the Lord will ultimately be victorious. God is telling us that despite the seeming instability of the times all we have to do is be still and quietly watch how the Almighty displays His glorious power. This is not an easy thing to do when our minds, jobs, relationships, finances, children, the death of loved ones and the list can go on and on, seems to be never-ending.

Despite what you think scripture tells us that God is our “Refuge.” Yes, an ever-present help in a time of trouble. We can praise God that He constantly offers reassurance during troubled times. A refuge is a shelter that provides protection from all kinds of danger. When we seek refuge in God we are trusting Him to deliver us from danger and trouble. Too many people are seeking refuge in their homes, possessions, drugs, unhealthy relationships, or in their abilities. He reassures us that He is able!

We can praise God that He constantly reassures us with His mighty power, presence, and promise. Take time to thank God for the fact that He reassures us! People who do not get reassurance or think they do not need it are setting themselves up for deeper disappointments or distress. God alone is able to make wars cease. He alone is able to give us the confidence to move ahead with His will for our lives despite the outward circumstances or our personal feelings of fear. We can ensure the fact that He will bring to pass His will and way for our life. We are the ones that tend to block this from happening in our lives. Or, we never see it because we don’t “be still!”

We can be still and praise God that He has the power to resolve any conflict we may be experiencing. Not only does He have the power to resolve major conflicts between nations, but also in all our relationships. Nothing is too difficult for God. We can praise God that He can reprogram our mind so that, we do not react with fear, anger or panic when adversity strikes. Many people hesitate to move forward until they believe they have all the resources in place, but we can trust God to provide all we need according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

In light of the assurance of our Almighty God’s victories we should take time throughout the day to be still and reverently honor him as the God of power, love and sovereign control of all things!

“Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’ The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

Live life, give people hope, share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period were God says there should be a comma.

As always peace and blessings, be safe. Remember God loves you and so do I! ©krw 4.19.18
