Good morning Lovelies. I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lord, please help us find fulfillment in Your presence. Help us to live in such a way that our actions serve as a reflection of your grace and mercy. Teach us to seek first Your Kingdom, in a life that brings glory to your name. Help us to be better than we are now. Teach us to be more like You, and less like the world around us. Help us to put aside our selfish desires and vain ambitions. Teach us to be true servants in both word and deed. Give us a servant’s heart, just like You. In the Mighty Matchless Name of Jesus, Amen!
Jesus Christ is real!! He is just as real today as He was to the disciples. Even though at one point they argued amongst themselves when He was with them. Some even left Him. Peter even denied knowing Him. But, praise be to God for His resurrected Son. The Resurrection of Jesus is a powerful event. The disciples were able to see Jesus again. I’m sure there were many questions that they had for Him. But, Jesus’ death and resurrection was a part of God’s perfect plan.
I truly believe if those that condemned Jesus to death knew that they were fulfilling God’s plan when they crucified His Son, they would have tried their best to stop it. Not that they could but would have tried. If they knew that it would give Him even more power because His death enabled the Holy Spirit to come. Thus, allowing Jesu to be everywhere at one time. Again they probably would have not killed Him.
By reading the Bible, we can sit down with the resurrected Son in His school of discipleship as the disciples did over 2000 years ago. By believing in Him we can receive His power through the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Today, some people still doubt Jesus’ resurrection. But, Jesus appeared to the disciples on many occasions after His resurrection, proving that He was alive. Consider the change the resurrection made in the disciple’s lives. At His death, they scattered like flies. Became disillusioned and feared for their lives. After seeing our resurrected Savior they became fearless and wanted to tell everyone about Him no matter what they faced.
This should be us today. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. If Jesus had stayed on earth, His physical presence would have limited the spread of the gospel because He could only be in one place at a time. The Holy Spirit was sent so that God would be with and within His followers after Jesus’ return to heaven. The Holy Spirit would comfort us, guide us to His truths, remind us of His Word, and give us the right words to say when we tell others about Him. The Spirit is the beginning of our Christian walk. We cannot belong to Christ without His Spirit. We can’t be united with Christ without His Spirit. We cannot be adopted as children of Christ without His Spirit. We cannot be in the body of Christ except by the baptism in the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13) The Holy Spirit can be experienced by all and can work through all.
God has important work for you to do but you must do it by the power of the Holy Spirit. We often like to get on with the job or task, even if it means running ahead of God. But, waiting is sometimes part of God’s plan. Are you waiting and listening for God’s complete instructions? Or, are you running ahead of His plan? This is just like when we told one of our children to do something, but they run off to do it before you could finish explaining to them what you wanted. What usually happens? They come back to you asking either “what did you say or telling you they thought you said”…..This is the same way with God if you don’t stop running and listen for His complete instructions. Remember Jesus told the disciples to witness to all nations, but they were told to wait for the Holy Spirit first. This is also a part of God’s timing. So again I ask, “Are you running? Or, are you listening?”
“You are, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” Romans 8:9
“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in the spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17
“For we are all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free, and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.” 1 Corinthians 12:13
Live life, give people hope and share your heart, wisdom, and resources. Never place a period where God says there should be a comma.
As always peace and blessings, be safe. Take advantage of your opportunities, but never allow your opportunities to take advantage of you. Remember God loves you and so do I. ©krw 02.05.19
